Program Description:

Our prime was just awarded a program supporting a government customer. The team needs a seasoned Network Engineer with Telecommunications experience.

Day to Day:

The Network Telecommunication Engineer will provide support designing, scaling and deploying the next network infrastructure platforms. The Engineer will be responsible for internetworking and troubleshooting a large scale network environment. They should be familiar with tunneling protocols such as IPSEC, GRE, L2VPN/L3VPN and NLPS.

The Engineer will be playing a very strong role in IP internetworking, LAN Switching, ATM & Voice technologies, IP Telephony, SAN, CDN, Optical, Wireless, IPCC. They should also feel comfortable with WAN protocols (Frame Relay, ISDN) and IP Routing protocols (IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)

Required:
  • Must have at least 5 - 10 years of experience in the telecommunications field
  • Expert with internetworking troubleshooting on large scale networks
  • Experience with tunneling protocols; IPSEC, GRE, L2VPN/L3VPN and NLPS
  • CCNP, CCIE or Written-CCIE certification is a MUST 

Desired:
  • Programing - C, C++, Python, Perl, Java
  • Large scale network design experience
